Generally, bag filters are not intended to be cleaned and reused. Washing or vacuuming can damage the filter media, affecting its ability to perform properly. For optimum performance, filters should be replaced once airflow is restricted or pressure drop indicates a build-up of contaminants.

Maintenance involves checking the filters regularly, monitoring pressure drop, and replacing them when necessary. By staying on top of filter conditions, businesses can maintain efficient airflow and help prevent unnecessary strain on HVAC systems. Maintenance intervals may vary depending on how dusty the environment is and how heavily the system is used, but a good rule of thumb is to inspect filters every month and replace them every 3 to 6 months, or sooner if a significant pressure drop is detected.
